Stage Display Layouts

Updated on

With ProPresenter 7, we can automate Stage Display (confidence monitor) layout changes to help better serve the stage communicator and worship leaders. This article will break down a few layouts that we have found to be helpful, and how to change them without adding steps to the service workflow of ProPresenter.

Creating the layouts

To change the layout of the confidence monitor, click on More in the top middle of the screen and select "Stage Editor" from the drop-down menu.

When clicking on Stage Editor, the window will change to mimic the layout of the confidence monitor. By clicking the gear in the top right corner of this window, we can change what is placed on the screen.

We can view and edit the different stage display layouts that are already created by clicking on the name, and add another layout by clicking the plus sign that is to the right of the word Layouts.

Let's take a look at three layouts that we have found to be helpful, and how to create them

1 - Worship

These are suggestions. If something works better for the stage communicators at your campus, feel free to adjust for their preference.

This is the standard layout that is used at most locations. Current slide on top, showing Text Only, next slide below showing Text Only, with a message area on bottom and a clock in the bottom right of the screen.

To copy a layout, simply right-click on an existing layout and select copy/paste.

You can then edit, drag things to move them, and stretch the box by its edges to resize to the Worship Pastor's preference. Select the individual elements in the bottom right-hand side.

2 - Stage Time/Message

This layout is the same as #1, with two small changes. The first change is that the current slide is showing a live slide instead of text only. The second change is the next slide is showing a static slide instead of text only. This allows the stage communicator to see the slides that are being put on the screens and is a great reference for seeing dates, or names on slides as they are on stage.

3 - Last Closing Promo

This layout is a huge countdown clock on the top half of the screen, and a big message area in the bottom half of the screen. When applied as a cue to the offering video, this lets the stage communicator know that it is the last video, and how much time is left before they have to start talking again.

Please use the image below as a reference to place the correct things on the screen. The only three elements you should have are Stage Message, System Clock and Video Countdown.

Applying as a cue to slides

This step allows each layout to be applied when clicking on designated slides. This is done by right-clicking on the designated slide, and selecting Add Action ---> Stage---> [Desired layout].

We suggest adding layout cues to the following slides:

First slide of Pre-Service/announcement slide loops - Worship

First slide of every cover and worship song - Worship

First slide of Stage Time - STG Time

Last closing promo - Last Closing Promo

After cues have been added to the correct slides, run through each one to double-check that the correct cues are in place.
