Loop, Konnect - Powering the System On

Updated on

The Loop and Konnect rooms have been equipped with two wireless mic receivers, a sound system and lighting for moments during the experience. Here's how to power up the room so that they can be used.

1. Turning Everything On:

The power system we used is called "Lyntec." This system is powered on by pressing the green "On" button or the button labeled "Fire It Up" - depending on your campus. This turns on the speakers, sound board, microphone receivers, and parts of the video system.

The Projector:

Turn on the Epson projector using the projector's remote.

Microphones:

Handheld:

Power on the microphone by holding the small red button next to the antenna fin. When the mic is powered on, a small red light will illuminate next to the fin and the screen on the mic will light up orange.

Headset:

Power on the headset belt-pack by opening the door on the front and holding the On/Off button. The screen on the belt-pack will light up orange when it is powered on.

2. Ensure Things are Working Correctly:

Speak into the mic as you turn up the corresponding volume knob.

After the mics are checked, navigate to the current week's content on the Apple TV and begin playing to check the volume coming from the Apple TV. The Apple TV should be locked into Playlister, showing options to select the content for the week. Select one of the videos (pre-experience or message), and ensure audio is being received.

3. Ensure Lighting Fixtures Work:

Press one of the lighiting presets on the iPad to ensure the lighting in the room is functional.

4. You're All Set!

Play the pre-experience loop from the Apple TV until the experience starts.

5. After the Last Service:

Please shut off the Projector using the same remote. Press the "Shut It Down" button on the LynTec panel and the "off" cue on the iPad before leaving the room.
